1833 AD have been the pioneers of Black Metal music in India since the last 5 years. Since 2006, the bands popularity amongst Indian metal fans has increased manifold and 1833 AD have been performing consistently in the Indian metal scene and have gained immense popularity amongst Indian metal fans.
1833 AD’s popularity is not only limited to Indian metal fans but have also received rave reviews from Black Metal journalists/critics from Norway. The greatest accomplishments for 1833 AD were when well-known Black Metal artist Nocturno Culto (guitarist/vocalist of Darkthrone) and George Kolias (drummer for Nile) showered their praise on 1833 AD.
In 2010 they concluded their headlining “End of Time” tour spanning 5 cities all across India (Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, New Delhi and Mumbai). During the tour 1833 AD headlined at the Black Metal Kreig in Mumbai which also featured the Black Metal band Dhishti from Sri Lanka. Following the tour, 1833 AD were invited to headline at Black Mass Festival in Colombo, Sri Lanka in July 2011. The band also played with United Kingdom based Cyanide Serenity in two cities during their India tour.

1833 AD recently finished recording their soon to be released debut album titled “My Dark Symphony”.
